How do I format cells (change font, color, etc.)?
There are several ways to format cells in Excel, allowing you to customize the appearance of your data and enhance readability. Here's a breakdown of the common methods:
Using the Home Tab:
1. Select Cells: Click on the cell(s) you want to format. You can also drag your mouse to select a range of cells.
2. Font Formatting Options: In the "Home" tab of the Excel ribbon, you'll find a variety of options under the "Font" group:
- Font Family: Change the typeface (e.g., Calibri, Arial, Times New Roman).
- Font Size: Increase or decrease the font size using the dropdown or arrows.
- Bold, Italic, Underline: Click the corresponding buttons (B, I, U) to apply those styles.
- Font Color: Click the arrow next to "Font Color" and choose a desired color from the palette or select "More Colors..." for a wider range.
3. Alignment and Text Wrapping: Also within the "Home" tab:
